Welcome to the official website for the Cascade Lakes Relay,
Several very experienced vendors from the Hood to Coast Relay, have
approached us and signed on with our event to assure a really quality
production in our inaugural year. For example, Brian Penrose of
Finishshots.com the 2007 official photographer of HTC will be working
our finish line. DeAngelo’s Catering, a 17 year veteran of HTC will be
our event caterer
Late registration will
start on May 15, 2008. Running teams will increase to $1020.00. Walk
teams will be $780.00. Ultra and Super Ultra Teams will increase by
$5.00 per participant. There will be no change for High School Challenge
Teams.
Our course is still being finalized, mostly with the US Forest Service
south of Hwy 58. The virtual tour pictures on our site continue to
represent well the course. Snow came early to the Cascades last fall and
we must wait until spring to setup the actual legs and elevation charts.
The Walk course will be about 125 miles. The Run course will be about
217 miles.
The Relay will run the back country and we “really, really mean” the
back country of the Oregon Cascade Mountains past at least eleven
mountain lakes, scenic mountain vista’s, over babbling brooks, and
through forests.
The Run/Walk event will consist of (36) legs each. Course maps are now
available on our website. The number of Walkers per team shall be (12)
maximum and the number for the Running Teams shall be a maximum of (12).
Each participant will be required to walk/run (3) legs.
Initial response to this new event has been very positive. This new and
exciting running Relay in Central Oregon could be a great alternative if
your current team does not get into the Oregon Hood to Coast Relay or
you are looking for another venue to substitute for the Washington State
Mt. Rainier to the Pacific Relay.
We have established our Blog; please participate by telling us what you
would like to see in this event and what you would not like to see. All
your suggestions and ideas are welcome. We will also post event
information as it becomes available.
Questions may be

info@diamondlakemtbachelorrelay.org Please pass the word for us and
we look forward to your participation in August, 2008! |
